Joy the Poodle Therapy Dog
JOY is a rescue doggie. She was left at the vet by her previous owner who could not afford the surgery she needed. She was fostered by someone who was elderly, and had several other dogs, and just could not keep up with her care and grooming. On February 8, 2013, JOY became a member of the Taylor household and the Doggie Washerette family and is now living happily ever after.
JOY is a therapy dog who is certified through the PAL program. She has visited the local Veteran’s Hospital, Soldier’s Home, and visited many elementary schools in the area. She also makes visits to a local nursing home regularly, with the Evangelism Ministry of Amazing Grace Church in Hyattsville, Maryland. You may also see her marching in local parades from time to time.
