FULL GROOM PRICE LIST
Please call for prices. They are based on: breed, temperament, age, condition of coat and skin, etc.
Greetings Everyone!
As we are off into the new year, ending January 2023 already! I want to take a moment and thank everyone for allowing me to help you, help your pet/pets live its best life! The opportunity to meet their grooming needs brings me such joy. I am so grateful to have been able to restart my business. I’m into my twelfth(12th) year in this industry now!
Like everyone else these days I am feeling the pinch of the present economy. I have tried my hardest to keep my fee as low as possible. (These are the same prices since 2019.) However, due to ever increasing costs to provide the quality service you’ve come to expect, I’m afraid I have no choice but to increase my prices, and streamline some practices, now that I have one year at this location under my belt.
Effective February 1, 2023, the cost of a la carte nail care (filing), will be $25. Grooming will go up ten dollars($10) from whatever your breed price is currently. I have not done so in the past, but I will have to start charging extra when dogs are: larger than breed standard, in need of extensive deshedding, handstripped, extremely matted (There is wear and tear on my blades and equipment trying to cut through dirty matted coat), I find a tick or flea(for every one flea there are potentially 50 eggs inside, $5 each max $50) or dogs that don’t stand well (usually because of age),dogs that are aggressive(bite), or just don’t tolerate grooming well( making it unsafe for all involved, also those whom after a few visits still aren’t improving.) etc. Even though fleas and ticks are around all year long in this area, warm weather when they are more prevalent will be here soon. If your dog has fleas, please use a preventative for at least 14 days before coming to visit. Please let me know before your visit that you have had a situation with them.
All male Standard Poodles and Standard Doodles will begin at $175 and increased based on cooperation and coat condition. Standard female Poodles and Standard Doodles will begin at $145 and price will also be adjusted accordingly. Any coat left over one(1) inch will be charged one plus one-half the price of the base price, cooperation and coat condition may then be factored in, because more hand scissoring is required on longer coats. The difference in the size of males and females in these breeds is significant and the time and effort to groom have to be considered from now on.
Color on the tail, ears, head, and paws, will be $10 for each location. Also, I will make a decision to not dye, if your pet is not a good candidate. Not being a good candidate involves: Not being able to sit still long enough with the foil on for the color to take(excessive shaking to remove the foil and creating too much of a mess with the dye everywhere), not having the hair texture (even though its light in color) for the dye to take well. Dogs that are extremely matted will not be considered for dye. Priority should be on maintaining a heathy dematted coat, then dye second.
Please be reminded that Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella, and an effective flea and tick preventative are required for service. The vets usually send out reminders for vaccine updates needed. Please forward updated records to me via text or email. (Text preferred). I am not able to give reminders to each customer of their record status, so please keep them up to date. I usually try to check everyone scheduled for the upcoming week, but not always. If I check and your dog has been recently groomed with vaccines that are lapsed more than 30 days, I will not be able to continue to serve your pet. Commitment to the health of the shop and well -being of each other’s pets should not be taken lightly.
Thank you all for your referrals, however, being that I designate some of my time to the Nail Care Van, and other obligations, full grooming space is limited, so I will not be taking new grooming clients until further notice. It is my desire to get those presently served on their preferred regular schedule.
Please remember, dogs brought to me receive one-on-one service, which is exclusive and tailored to each dog’s needs, temperament and behavioral challenges. Despite this increase, I still believe I am offering a value for the money service. Thanks in advance for your continued support. It really means so much.
P.S.
If possible please follow Doggie Washerette and/or my new page Doggie Washerette Nail Care Van, on Facebook. I will try to place important announcements and information there as an effort to send emails very seldom.
Kind Regards,
Ethel Taylor
